Rock Creek is a tributary of the Clark Fork river. It begins near Philipsburg, Montana, paralleling the Sapphire Mountains, and enters the Clark Fork near Clinton, Montana.
“The Creek” has swift flows, deep pools, and extensive naturally timbered and rocky habitat. It is world renowned for its Salmon Fly hatch in May through June. Cutthroat, Rainbows, and Browns alike gorge on huge Salmon Flies.
We are very fortunate to work with John Perry (my fly fishing mentor and former boss). Rock Creek is permitted with only a limited amount of permits available to float the Creek. John is the largest allocated permit holder for Rock Creek.
The creek is a “Blue Ribbon” trout fishery the should certainly be on any anglers Bucket List.
